About
I'm Md. Fahim Bin Amin, a software and machine learning engineer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I build production systems, publish research on NLP and AI, review for IEEE Access and Elsevier, and contribute to open-source projects read by developers worldwide.
I've worked across four continents, for startups in the USA, a research lab in the UK, a GenAI lab in Mexico, and universities and studios in Bangladesh. I've also spent years teaching: lab classes, grading, and writing technical content that tries to make hard ideas genuinely accessible.

Principles
I've published papers and shipped production systems. The best work happens when those two worlds inform each other. A model that only exists in a notebook isn't research; it's a draft.
Bengali NLP, energy systems in developing contexts, underserved communities. These are where the hardest and most meaningful problems live. I'd rather solve a hard real problem than an easy benchmark.
Sixty-plus talks, university labs, freeCodeCamp articles. If I understand something well enough to use it, I owe it a clean explanation. That obligation keeps my own understanding honest.
Clever abstractions age badly. Long, readable scripts age well. I optimize for the engineer who reads the code at 2 a.m. with something on fire. Often that engineer is me.
